Whether he's
depicting a warrior trying to rescue a damsel in distress or capturing the lighter side of
family life with just a touch of nostalgia, one thing is for certain ... we're going
on a journey, a magical journey. Maybe not the exact same journey that Dorothy took in the Wizard of Oz, but certainly one where we see the world in a little different way. From his earliest days, Mark's imaginative excursions have taken him to places one can only go in dreams. Gentle meadows laced with whispy marshmellow clouds. Ferocious skies filled with deadly dragons and larger-than-life heroes that save the day. This is the magical world Mark Pendergrass, a world where award-winning album covers can be created for children's productions such as, "The Music Machine," and "Bullfrogs and Butterflies." Mark's one-of-a-kind designs have been featured on album and book covers, video animation, stage productions and even graced the halls of Malls throughout the country. With over thirty years of experience in the art profession as an illustrator, painter, and sculptor, there seems to be no limit in sight to Mark's imaginative creations. In recent years, his work has taken the form of murals and sculptures displayed in libraries, retail stores, churches, and educational facilities throughout the midwest. In addition to his art, Mark is also an
accomplished songwriter. His musical compositions have appeared on five Grammy nominated
albums, six Dove Award albums, two platinum records and six international gold records. He
is most widely known as composer of "The Greatest Thing," a popular Christian
